We are loony for our donors
All our donors receive a coupon for a 10% discount at our online store or in person at the Adirondack Loon Center. Our donors are also eligible for a discount on our field trips (free for donors of $1000 or more).
Our “Loon Egg” Donors ($100 or more) will receive a beautiful 8x10” photograph of one of our Adirondack study loons!
Our “Loon Chick” Donors ($250 or more) will also receive an Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation sticker.
Our “Swimming Loon” Donors ($500 or more) will also receive an out of print “Loon” book by Kip Taylor.
Our “Flying Loon” Donors ($1000 or more) will be invited to join our staff for a field trip to observe our Adirondack Study loons - We look forward to thanking you in person!

Your gift through our PayPal Giving Fund will help us continue working for the loons! PayPal Giving Fund is an IRS-registered 501(c)(3) public charity that uses PayPal technology and financial support to fundraise for causes, without charging donors or charities (including credit card fees!) for our services.

Gifts of Stock
Your gift of appreciated stock or a mutual fund not only supports our loon conservation programs in the Adirondacks, it also provides you with an extra tax benefit. If you itemize, you can deduct the current value of your investment as a charitable contribution, and you won’t have to pay capital gains taxes. Note - if your stock is losing value, it is better to sell it first and take a capital loss, and then donate the proceeds from the sale to ACLC.
IRA Distributions - Tax-Free!
Are you of the prestigious age of 70 1/2 or more? If so, then you are eligible to give up to $100,000 from your IRA annually to the Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation (or any qualified charity) tax-free!
After 70 1/2, taxpayers are required to take an annual distribution from their IRA, which are taxable as part of their adjusted gross income. However, if you make a gift to ACLC directly from your IRA, the amount of your donation is excluded from your income, but it still is included as part of your required minimum distribution.
