Loon Zoom #3: The Recovery of the Common Loon in Vermont and Cautionary Notes about the Future

  • Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation 75 Main Street Saranac Lake, NY, 12983 United States (map)

Vermont Center for Ecostudies (VCE) biologist, Eric Hanson, will discuss the amazing recovery of loons in Vermont over the past 30 years, the threats that they face, and the conservation actions that have brought them back. We’ll explore some of the concerns of the future, and how loons can help us understand what we need to do to keep our lakes healthy for future generations, us and loons. The VLCP is a program of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies (VCE), and we partner with the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department.

Loon Zooms cost $10 to register, or register for all 6 for $50.
